Motion text
That this House congratulates young Welsh rock duo Alffa on reaching over 2.8 million streams of their song Gwenwyn on Spotify; notes that this is the first ever Welsh language song to reach over one million streams; acknowledges the rising popularity of music streaming services and Welsh language music; commends the innovation of Apton Cymru, a recently developed Welsh language music streaming app that answers the need for more minority language provision in the field of technology; wishes to thank Dafydd Roberts and Sain for investing in such invaluable services for the Welsh language; and further calls to promote the development of such apps and technological services through the medium of minority languages.
