GIG21 SUPPORTS YOUNG PEOPLE BEREAVED BY SUICIDE

That this House recognises the efforts of Lewis Hazel of St Andrews and all those involved in GIG21, organised to celebrate Lewis's 21st birthday and raise awareness across North East Fife of mental health issues for young people, particularly young men, to provide support for those bereaved by suicide; notes that GIG21 is on course to meet its £21,000 target thanks to the support of local businesses, organisations and individuals; marks the launch of a monthly, free support service provided by Touched by Suicide Scotland in St Andrews; and commends all those involved in raising vital funds for this charity and also Breathing Space Scotland which provides a free, confidential phone line and other services for anyone in Scotland feeling low, anxious or depressed.
