Motion text

That this House marks the 25th anniversary of the worst peacetime disaster in RAF history when all 25 passengers and four crew members lost their lives in the chinook crash on the Mull of Kintyre; notes that there is still no satisfactory explanation for the crash which took the lives of many of the top Northern Ireland Intelligence Officers at the time; impresses upon the Ministry of Defence the absolute necessity of retaining all files relating to this terrible event in order for further investigations to provide resolution for the families; extends our abiding sympathies to the families of those 29 people who have had a life sentence of grieving for their loved ones and reminds them that the loss has not been and will never be forgotten.
