Motion text
That this House congratulates pupils and staff at Garnetbank Primary School on their Clean Air Day, due to take place on 19 June; understands that their street will be closed to cars for a day to encourage street play and street art; appreciates that many activities are planned, including a flash mob dance about air pollution, a stage for eco speeches, stalls from environmental organisations, and exhibitions about architecture and the planet; notes that the eco day will be followed by a march in Glasgow City Centre; understands that the experience will be followed by a trip to Blair Drummond Safari Park for pupils and a term of topic work about climate change and the environment which will culminate in a show of learning in October to the community; and wishes everybody involved the best of luck with this ambitious project.
