Motion text

That this House condemns the massacre of protesters in Sudan on 3 June 2019; condemns the reported use of sexual violence; calls on the UK Government to apply severe pressure to its regional allies: Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, to stop providing the Transitional Military Council with military and financial assistance; notes that the deputy head of the Military Transitional Council, Mohamed Hamdan Dagolo, also known as Hemedti, has been link to the worst atrocities perpetrated in the Darfur conflict since 2002; and calls on the Government to ensure that those responsible for the killing are held to account.
