The house notes the work of the Nitshill Noble Art Gym, a boxing gym and community hub based in Nitshill in Glasgow, which throughout the summer helped local disadvantaged families by providing a safe, secure environment for children to be fed and to play in; thanks the club for feeding 68 children throughout the school summer holidays at their Summer Lunch Club which was funded by Glasgow City Council; acknowledges the wonderful work being done by Kat Paton, the club’s youth coordinator, and Kris McAdam, founder of the club, who organised and ran the successful Summer Lunch Club, which educated the children on food, diet and culture; notes that it created an environment of integration for the children across the community; welcomes the National Lottery Community Fund income which is now helping to pay for the club’s Homework Club and a future staff post; thanks Sanctuary Scotland for their continued support to the Noble Art Boxing Club, including helping secure a lease, replacing the club’s windows and paying for gym equipment; and wishes the community hub and staff continued success going forward.
