Motion text
That this House notes the tremendous support for the Youth Strike 4 Climate march through St Andrews, the gathering of 1,200 people on West Sands beach and the symbolic drawing of a line in the sand to mark the urgent need to act on climate change; further notes the significance of that event taking place on the same day that protests calling for action were held across the globe; thanks students at the University of St Andrews including Bethany Carol and Lea Wiemann for organising that event; highlights the attendance of many residents, school children and nursery children; and hopes that governments across the world, including in the UK, will make tackling climate change their top priority.
