That this House recognises the achievements of Project Gambia: People Feeding People; notes that Project Gambia was set up by Scottish volunteers who were inspired by their Catholic faith to help those in need; realises that their work has been made possible through the thriving partnership that the organisation has formed with local Catholic Dioceses, and praises the many parishes which support the organisation; commends the organisation for enabling young people in The Gambia to attend school via ensuring a feeding programme that provides children with a hot and nutritious meal each day, ensures that children have essential learning materials and school uniforms; notes that the school-children have shown improved concentration and attainment; congratulates the organisation for improving the lives of over 1,000 of the world’s poorest children in The Gambia; particularly praises them for improving opportunities for children with profound hearing impairments; and wishes every success to Project Gambia in the future
