Motion text
That this House notes the importance of ensuring that members of the armed forces, their families and veterans, who make so many sacrifices to ensure our safety and security, have access to the right support for their health and mental wellbeing; recognises the efforts being made by Amey Defence Services to support military families at Leuchars in North East Fife by setting up the peer-to-peer Escape the Mind group; commends moves to encourage service personnel, their families and veterans to use the group to open up and talk about their feelings without being judged or labelled and that sharing those feelings can help aid recovery; and welcomes moves to establish similar groups at every major military unit throughout the country within a year.
