House of Commons
St Aidan's foodbanks and soup kitchen
EDM #16
Tabled 19 December 2019
2019-20 Session
That this House recognises the extraordinary contribution of staff and volunteers at St Aidan's foodbank and soup kitchen and at Hartlepool Foodbank; congratulates them for their tireless work all year round in helping the most vulnerable in society; recognises that no society is functioning properly if charity is required to feed hungry children; calls on the Government to ensure that no human being in Britain requires charity to be fed this Christmas; and further calls on the Government to take action to ensure that every child in the United Kingdom has enough to eat next year without reliance on charity.
