Motion text

That this House condemns the cheap and mean-spirited attitude displayed by the Labour Party to the Government's great success in developing and reconstructing the economy in Wales, and in North Wales in particular; welcomes the fall in unemployment in Wales in April 1993, noting that this is the third successive monthly fall; welcomes the increase in employment in the Travel to Work Area including Shotton of 9,794 between the 1981 figure and the latest available figure; and condemns the Labour Party's dogmatic wish to impose a 'Wales Tax' through a bureaucratic Welsh Assembly, which would halt this economic renaissance in its tracks.
