Motion text
That this House notes the tremendous work that has been done by Fairtrade in attempting to ensure that the farmer on the ground receives a decent wage for their hard work; notes the recent Fairtrade Fortnight which focused on highlighting the duty to ensure that every British pound that is spent is to those giving a fair price to their farmer; further notes that as a nation the UK consumes £4 billion worth of chocolate and ensuring that all of this is fairly traded will make a massive difference to lives across the globe; and urges people to be aware of how their chocolate is produced.
