Motion text
That the House calls on the Government, Association of British Insurers, and regulators to urgently agree an industry-wide scheme to ensure that British citizens who purchased travel insurance for a foreign visit and whose trip has been extended due to the covid-19 pandemic are able to obtain insurance protection for their return journey if they have been refused an extension to their original cover; and to consider how best to extend such a scheme to all UK residents currently stranded abroad.
