Motion text
That this House thanks Nissan in Sunderland for repurposing its factory to make personal protective equipment (PPE) during the covid-19 crisis; notes with respect and gratitude the efforts of workers at the car plant that are now delivering up to 100,000 face visors and 18,000 aprons per week to the NHS; pays tribute to those NHS workers that are risking their lives to protect us all; calls on other companies with facilities to follow Nissan’s lead and form a manufacturing army to help make this life-saving PPE; notes the role of Unite the Union in pushing this initiative; and urges the Government to coordinate and facilitate these efforts to ensure maximum output and success.
