Motion text
That this House welcomes news that a new reportedly fast and accurate coronavirus antibody test has been developed by blood-screening firm Quotient, based in Scotland and Switzerland; understands that each serological screening machine has capacity for up to 3,000 tests a day and produces results in 35 minutes with 99.8 per cent accuracy; notes that Quotient’s Scottish research division is based in Penicuik, Midlothian; applauds the cooperative global efforts of the scientific community to find innovative means of tackling the pandemic; and recognises that Midlothian continues to punch above its weight in research and science.
