That this House recognises the efforts of Crossgates Primary School which has received the accolade as a Plastic Free School from the environmental campaign group, Surfers Against Sewage; further recognises the efforts of the school’s Plastic Free Committee to rid the school of plastic by cutting down on single-use cups, introducing reusable water bottles and recycling points for cans, bottles and pens; commends the school for raising awareness about plastic and sustainability and showing fellow pupils how they can cut down on their plastic consumption; celebrates the commitment the pupils have made to clean up their school, and their efforts to raise awareness in the the wider community through their Trash Mob which carries out a litter pick in the village of Crossgates.
