Motion text
That this House acknowledges and supports the Break The Race Ceiling Campaign which was launched on social media by the Scottish Trades Union Congress Black Workers’ Committee during the Black Lives Matter, We Cannot Breathe event held on 7 June 2020 and endorses the campaign's call for seismic change across the public sector in Scotland, not just to recruit and employ more black and minority ethnic people in the workforce, but also to support them to progress into positions of management, decision-making and authority across the whole of the public sector in Scotland, including the UK and Scottish Governments and their agencies, local government, public bodies, and other services that serve Scotland’s diverse communities.
