Motion text
That this House congratulates all those involved in Midlothian’s first ever online concert event last week; understands that the concert was edited and screened live on the Midlothian Council Facebook page, as well as being made available on YouTube and broadcast simultaneously on Black Diamond FM; commends the 250 young musicians who recorded or made a video of themselves playing pieces sent to them by instructors via Google Classroom; thanks the 10,000 viewers of the event for supporting its success; and highlights the importance of music and the arts for our mental health in times of uncertainty such as the covid-19 outbreak.
