Motion text
That this House congratulates independent Scottish film company Lyre Productions on the world premiere of its latest film, Riptide; further congratulates the film’s cast and crew, and director Tim Barrow; understands that the film premiered online at the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival 2020, a cultural festival which aims to challenge pre-conceived ideas on mental health; notes that Riptide addresses themes of schizophrenia and love; and stresses the importance of openly addressing matters of mental health in both the arts and people's lives.
