House of Commons
Service medal award for military personnel engaged in covid-19 operations
EDM #735
Tabled 16 July 2020
2019-21 Session
That this House recognises the selfless service of military personnel engaged in covid-19 operations; notes that in times of conflict and war those personnel always step up and do their duty for Queen and Country; further notes that throughout the covid-19 pandemic the armed forces have once again been on the frontline building hospitals, keeping the supply chain open and operating mobile covid-19 testing sites throughout the UK; and calls on the Government to strike a service medal award in recognition that at a time when the country faced one of its greatest ever crisis the armed forces were once again leading the way.
