Motion text
That this House condemns the anti-LGBTQ+ ideology promoted by Poland’s recently re-elected President, Andrzej Duda; decries the rhetoric used by President Duda during his election campaign, and his first term of Presidency, which demonstrates homophobia promoted by the highest levels of government in Poland; is concerned that this anti-LGBTQ+ attitude is also being reflected by the governments of Hungary and Russia, both of whom have recently passed legislation to suppress LGBTQ+ rights; and urgently calls on the Government to publicly condemn the Polish Government and their anti-LGBTQ+ attitudes, and other nations seen to display similar attitudes.
