Motion text
That this House notes the current challenges facing the 300,000 patients across the UK with inflammatory bowel disease; further notes that inflammatory bowel disease is a chronic and debilitating disease which can have a significant impact on the physical and mental well-being of patients and can also greatly affect social interactions, family life, and a person's work or studies; highlights the variation in NHS care and treatment that inflammatory bowel disease patients receive across the UK; and supports the development of national standards for the care and treatment of inflammatory bowel disease to improve the quality of life for all patients with that disease across the country.
