That this House recognises the well deserved achievement for Clydebank resident Jim McLaren in being awarded the ‘’Local Legend’’ award for Glasgow for his valuable work during the Covid pandemic through helping the most vulnerable in our community; further notes that Jim’s work with his Golden Friendship’s charity has performed outstanding work in the local community with disabled people and the elderly; further recognises that Jim’s charity continues to provide an invaluable service despite the global pandemic and being unable to access their local hall and hopes that this charitable work will inspire others to do what they can for their local community.
