That this House congratulates Professor Petra Wend who has been awarded a CBE for services to higher education; recognises Professor Wend’s decade as Principal and Vice-Chancellor of Queen Margaret University; and notes her commitment to internationalism, echoing a spokesperson for QMU who said that Professor Wend has worked consistently throughout her career as an academic to cross borders, geographically and socially, in order to realise the full potential of the institutions with which she has been associated.
