Motion text

That this House is appalled at the persecution and discrimination against Christians and other religious and racial minorities in Sudan and at the widespread suffering caused by its long-running civil war in the south, effects of which include famine and the indiscriminate bombing of civilians by government forces; and calls upon the Government of Sudan immediately to halt such gross human rights violations and to reach a peaceful settlement to that country's civil war.
