That this House congratulates Partick Thistle Football Club on its return to the Scottish Championship after winning the League One title with a 5-0 win over Falkirk on 29th April 2021; recognises the economic, social and cultural contribution the Club has made to communities in Glasgow North and across the city, particularly in providing a family-friendly atmosphere at their games and, through the Club’s Charitable Trust, delivering tens of thousands of free meals to some of the most vulnerable members of the local community during the coronavirus pandemic; commends the hard work of manager Ian McCall, and the dedication of all the Club’s players, coaches and staff in securing this victory; and wishes the Club every success in the coming season in the Scottish Championship.
