Motion text
That this House welcomes the opening of Crossroads Hub, trading as Ayrshire Food Hub; congratulates the committee and volunteers on delivering a legacy project to replace the former Crossroads Primary School; welcomes that many ex-pupils and teachers have already visited or expressed their joy at the opening; notes that the new venue provides community facilities as well as employment and a social enterprise through the café, shop and food production; further notes that the new kitchen allows cooking lessons and ongoing food-related education which builds on the work undertaken from their Darvel outreach facilities; notes that the shop and delicatessen is stocked from local suppliers, covering fresh vegetables, fresh meats, cheeses and products such as local jams and relishes, as well as homegrown and homemade produce; and wishes Ayrshire Food Hub every success for the future.
