Motion text
That this House is concerned by HSBC’s decision to unilaterally move HSBC Clubs and Community Bank Account holders to the bank’s new Charitable Bank Account which charges £60 annually; notes that the Bank is imposing criteria which may move Clubs and Community Bank Account holders to other fee-charging accounts; is dismayed that the new Charitable Bank Account will also charge customers to deposit cash at a bank branch or Post Offices and when customers withdraw funds; and calls on the Government to encourage HSBC to reverse its decision.
