Motion text
That this House congratulates Asylum Link Merseyside in the constituency of Liverpool Wavertree, for being awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service; notes this is the most prestigious award in the country bestowed to voluntary groups, recognises that to win this award, groups must provide a service and meet the requirements of the local community, be supported and respected by the community, and be led by locals for nominations; congratulates the staff and volunteers of the centre who have worked under immense pressure given the current Government policy on asylum seekers and refugees and looks forward to their continued success in the years ahead.
