That this House congratulates Bonnyrigg-based Indian and Bangladeshi takeaway Bombay Spice on being awarded Best Takeaway in Scotland at the Currylife Awards in London on 10 October 2021; understands that the awards seek to reward and recognise the very best of the UK’s curry industry and those who show innovation and inspiration in their work; notes that Bombay Spice is part of an established group of award winning Indian Restaurants serving Midlothian and Edinburgh for a generation; sends congratulations to owner Ruhul Amin and his son and general manager Jamil Amin, who collected the award on his behalf; and expresses best wishes for the business’ future to Bombay Spice and its staff.
