Local community champion Andrew Dunlop

That this House recognises the exceptional efforts of Andrew Dunlop, local man from Cardenden, in maintaining the area of Cardenden following the unprecedented flooding in August 2020 by clearing rivers of debris and rubbish; notes that he removed 85 tyres and 11 bikes from the River Ore following the flooding which has helped to significantly improve the state of the river and surrounding areas; further recognises his regular hard work both in the local area and further afield and gives thanks on behalf of the communities he has helped to benefit as well as local wildlife and the environment; congratulates Andrew on his nomination for Kingdom FM’s Local Hero Awards for the category of Unsung Hero award; thanks Andrew for being an inspirational figure in the local community and for bringing recognition to his work as well as the thousands of volunteers across Fife who are members of the Fife Street Champions group in litter picking and keeping our communities clean and tidy; and wishes Andrew all the best with his future endeavours.
