That this House congratulates First Bus on its successful hosting of the official COP26 electric vehicle charging site at its Caledonia Depot, the largest charging station for electric vehicles in the UK; notes that international and delegates from across the UK visited throughout COP26 to discuss the future of sustainable energy and transport; recognises that the event was held in partnership with Hitachi and Octopus Energy, who partner with First Bus on sustainable transport, energy and infrastructure; welcomes First Bus’s contribution of electric bus shuttle services, which carried thousands of delegates to and from the COP26 campus throughout the two weeks of the event; acknowledges that, in addition to the investment and ongoing delivery of 150 electric buses built by Alexander Dennis, First Bus are also running the UK’s first hydrogen-powered bus services in Aberdeen; and wishes First Bus continued success in its efforts to decarbonise its bus fleets across Scotland’s transport network.
