Retirement of Alastair MacGregor, Chief Executive of Argyll Community Housing Association (ACHA)

That this House conveys its most sincere thanks to Alastair MacGregor on his retirement following thirty one years of working in public sector housing, particularly his last seventeen years in which he served as Chief Executive of Argyll Community Housing Association (ACHA); acknowledges the enormous contribution Alastair has made throughout his career to the community-based housing movement in Argyll and across Scotland as a whole, particularly in respect of community and tenancy empowerment; hugely appreciates the close working relationship that Alastair and his team at ACHA have nurtured over the years with all of Argyll & Bute’s elected members to help improve the lives of thousands of families throughout Argyll & Bute; and wishes Alastair many peaceful, relaxing and happy year tending his croft, or whatever he chooses to do.
