That this House recognises and congratulates Lorna and Ritchie Conaghan of the Girvan and District Great War Project established in 2013, which has researched, identified and recorded details of at least 600 servicemen from the local area who lost their lives during World War One and subsequent conflicts including a number who have previously not been commemorated on local war memorials, and those local men who lost their lives in the armed service of Commonwealth countries, including Australia and Canada; and further congratulates them on the creation and planting of the Wildflower Memorial Garden located at Hamilton Park in Girvan earlier this year, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Poppy, which has been was chosen by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission Foundation as the winners of this years prestigious national Best In Bloom Wildflower Competition from a great number of entries across the United Kingdom.
