That this House congratulates Turnbull High School on winning the Learning For Sustainability Community Award presented by Education Scotland; understands this award recognises the achievements of schools which enable learners, educators, and wider communities to build a socially-just, sustainable and equitable society in the face of the climate emergency; notes Turnbull High School’s efforts in creating an effective approach to learning for sustainability which encourages sustainable development education and creates rewarding learning experiences; thanks Turnbull High School and its pupils for setting such a positive example for schools and the wider community across East Dunbartonshire; and looks forward to seeing what more they will achieve in the collective fight against climate change.
