Motion text
That this House notes the reports that civil servants have been instructed to omit the term Christmas from covid messaging for the Christmas period; notes that there is no offence intended by referencing a national holiday in messaging designed to protect people throughout that holiday; and urges the Prime Minister and all Secretaries of State to remind their departments that the biggest offence to many people is not in mentioning Christmas but to attempt to remove Christ from Christ-mas.
