That this House congratulates East Lothian group, North Berwick Coastal Community Connections, on receiving £195,000 from Medium Grants Scotland: Improving Lives; understands that this funding will build on the groups' existing connected project which reduces isolation and loneliness by offering their drop-in Scone café a befriending service which includes buddy walks, villages outreach and group/peer support for people in East Lothian with issues such as bereavement, anxiety, and depression; notes that the project will also deal with loss by training volunteers as Compassionate Neighbours for people facing terminal illness or dealing with bereavement; commends North Berwick Coastal Community Connections for their contribution to the community; and wishes everyone involved the best of luck with the future.
