Motion text
That this House congratulates the pupils and staff at Bearsden Academy on achieving Gold SCQF School Ambassador status; understands that the secondary school in East Dunbartonshire has become only the second school in Scotland to reach gold level since the recognition programme was introduced; notes the SCQF School Ambassador programme offers secondary schools the opportunity to learn more about the benefits of the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework and seeks wider ways to support learners; further notes this includes recognising wider achievement, developing senior phase learning pathways and demonstrating equality between vocational and academic qualifications; welcomes the SCQF decision that Bearsden Academy has demonstrated significant range of senior pathways and embedded SCQF principles in school practice; and congratulates all involved at the school on this tremendous achievement.
