That this House notes and celebrates Injury Prevention Week 2022, that is celebrated from June 27th to July 1st; further notes the dedicated work by Charities and Organisations such as The Carpenters Group and Major Trauma Group that aim to highlight the ways to consider the safety of others in their day to day lives; highlights the campaign by the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers that outlines the topic of e-scooters and the fact that there were nearly 900 casualties from collisions, some causing major injuries and furthermore, some causing death; further highlights the responsibility on elected members to formulate appropriate legislation and measures to improve safety and help to protect road and pavement users with the result of reducing the number of accidents by road users; and congratulates the mentioned organisation servicing the UK as a whole for their commitment to raising awareness and ensuring that change is brought about.
