Inaugural Street Soccer Nations Cup

That this House celebrates the inaugural Street Soccer Nations Cup, to be held at Dundee’s City Square from 9th to 11th of September; notes that countries participating include all four of the Home Nations, the Republic of Ireland, Ivory Coast, Sweden, Ukraine and Afghanistan; further notes that this tournament has been made possible through support from the Scottish Government, Dundee City Council and a number of partners and sponsors; commends the work of the organisers at Street Soccer Scotland in bringing together this life-changing tournament, which offers an opportunity for those from disadvantaged backgrounds to represent their country; recognises the importance that football plays in so many local communities across the world; and wishes all competitors all the best for the tournament.
