Motion text
That this House recognises the significance and importance of the US Government's new appointment of an Ambassador to the Arctic; recognises that this initiative reflects the US Government's understanding of the geopolitical sensitivities and strategic importance of the Arctic region; and supports my earlier call for the Government to appoint an Ambassador to the Arctic to reaffirm our commitment to collaboration, co-operation and closer political engagement with our High North neighbours.
