That this House congratulates the Eglinton Diner in Windmill Street in Saltcoats on its securing the accolade of Best Fish and Chip Shop in Scotland at the 2022 Scottish Business Awards; acknowledges that this recognition comes in the wake of its previous award for the best fish and chip shop in Ayrshire earlier this year; pays tribute to the hard work of owner Josephine Donald who started as a fryer in chip shops and took ownership of the Eglinton Diner four and half years ago; is also impressed by the hard work of the diner's fryers Ashley Donald, Jenna Wishart and Grady Purcheon and all the staff who work so diligently in the diner's fast paced environment; understands that this diner is well supported by local residents due to the excellent customer care, excellent food, with its fresh is best policy and high standards of cleanliness; is aware that the owner continues to make improvements to the diner's premises to ensure that her customers are able to enjoy the best experience possible when they patronise her business; and wishes the diner and all its staff continued success in providing the such excellent food and service to the people of Saltcoats.
