This house notes the need for a lasting peace in Syria; believes that establishing a UK Special Envoy for Syria would help ensure utmost efforts in promoting a new and lasting peace initiative in Syria; and recognises the international benefits that would arise from a prosperous and peaceful Syria, not least by helping Syrian refugees return home.
