That this House commends and congratulates Mr Jim Bett on his retirement from Fife Alcohol Support Service after 28 years of exceptional service; notes that Jim has worked in a variety of roles, most recently as Service Manager for the charity, which has served the people of Fife since 1977 by providing services designed to meet the needs of Fifers affected by alcohol and substance misuse; recognises Jim’s efforts to ensure accessible counselling services are available to thousands of vulnerable people, whilst embodying an ethos of ethical practice, responsible management and securing ongoing funding for this vital service; and wishes him all the very best in his well-earned retirement.
