Motion text
That this House notes 11 and 12 June 2023 as exceptionally important dates in Northern Ireland's legacy calendar, given that within that 24 hour period two events are scheduled to take place regarding people who died during Northern Ireland's troubled past; further notes that a 50th anniversary commemorative event is due to be held in Coleraine for the six innocent people who were murdered in the town as a result of bombs detonated by the IRA on that date in 1973, and one of those convicted for his part in the bombings is an elected Sinn Fein Councillor; and stands with innocent victims as opposed to victim makers.
