Partnership between ScottishPower, Scottish Women’s Football and the Scottish Women’s Premier League

That this House commends the partnership between ScottishPower, Scottish Women’s Football and the Scottish Women’s Premier League (SWPL); welcomes the focus the partnership will have on growing women and girl’s football right across Scotland; understands ScottishPower’s sponsorship includes Scottish Youth Challenge Cups at all three age groups and the Scottish Women’s Highlands and Islands League; understands that the work will champion women and girls across Scotland, from the youth game, to emerging talent in remote communities, through to the elite stars of the premier leagues; and further welcomes the work all involved plan to do over the next three years to support the women’s game for both this and future generations by driving equality and diversity all the way from grassroots to elite.
