30th anniversary of Charis counselling service in Leslie

That This House congratulates the Charis Foundation, formerly the Fife Christian Counselling Centre, in Leslie on its 30th anniversary; commends the outstanding work they have done in renovating a derelict building on Leslie high street into an award winning centre for the provision of counselling to anyone who needs it, regardless of their ability to pay; commends the many professionals who gave freely of their time and expertise to make this possible; recognises the valuable service provided by Charis in providing training leading to accredited professional qualifications in counselling; congratulates Charis on being awarded a Royal Institute of British Architects Award for Architecture, the Queen's Golden Jubilee Award for services to the community and, most recently, the Prime Minister's Point of Light award to their inspirational founder, Joyce Nicoll; believes that Charis represents an outstanding of putting their Christian faith into action by offering support regardless of someone's race, creed or colour; and wishes Charis every success in the future.
