That this House acknowledges the centenary year of St Aidan’s Episcopal Church, Clarkston; welcomes this milestone marking 100 years of the Church playing a pivotal role in the local community; joins the congregation in commemorating this important anniversary; notes that a special centenary service of thanksgiving and commemoration took place on Sunday 3 December at which the Rt Rev Kevin Pearson, Bishop of Glasgow and Galloway preached; recognises the importance of St Aidan’s Church to the community and the broad range of open, welcoming activities which the Church is involved in locally; appreciates the continued care of the congregation for the local community and those further afield; and wishes all involved with St Aidan’s Church the very best for the next 100 years at the heart of the local community.
