Exmoor Forest Inn

That this House congratulates the Exmoor Forest Inn on the fantastic achievement of being named one of the top 100 Best British Pubs this year; recognises the fantastic contribution given to local communities by pubs; celebrates the many fantastic rural pubs which make the Tiverton and Minehead constituency a wonderful place to live; calls on the Government to urgently correct the anomaly in its business rates changes to ensure that large chains will not benefit at the expense of small and independent hospitality businesses; urges the Government to exempt hospitality SMEs from the employer’s National Insurance increase; and asks the Government to reduce the rate of VAT charged on pubs, restaurants, entertainment and accommodation venues, by 5%, to help support the Great British pub.
