That this House congratulates Options in Life, a small charity based in Cupar, on being awarded The King’s Award for Voluntary Service, often regarded as the highest honour volunteer-led organisations in the UK can receive; notes that Options in Life provides vital opportunities for young adults with learning disabilities and additional support needs to develop life skills, grow confidence and participate fully in their communities through an extensive programme of activities; recognises the dedication of the organisation’s founders, trustees, staff and volunteers since the charity’s establishment in 2011 in supporting social inclusion and improving the wellbeing and independence of its participants; further notes the charity’s current refurbishment project in Cupar which will expand its facilities to include a community café, learning and training spaces, a sensory room and a drop-in centre, enhancing the support available across North East Fife; and commends all involved in Options in Life for their outstanding service, commitment and impact, and for setting an inspirational example of voluntary action and community empowerment.
